Cravings are tortuous for some people. Many clients in my office use cravings as the excuse to start binging-out and eating the wrong foods—to just too much food.

But, did you know:
Even a strong food craving usually dissipates within four to twelve minutes?!
Ride out the cravings. Remember that cravings are just feelings not a command from your brain to eat badly.
It could have something to do with trigger foods, too. Most crave foods high in sugar, fat and/or flour.
Men love the salty, crunchy foods like nuts, chips and pretzels. Women like sweet stuff like candy and chocolates.
So, your best ammunition against cravings is… to eat. Eat your meals at the designated times. Never be hungry. And, if you aren’t hungry, the cravings won’t be so bad.
